Technical Committee Activities
The UMF Technical Committee is made up of representatives from each of the member companies. Its aims are to :-
- Monitor developments and trends in the industry which may influence the future design and engineering of umbilical products, and, if appropriate to implement measures to address such trends.
- To monitor and actively contribute to the further development of specifications concerning umbilical products.
- Where existing standards do not fully cover all industry needs, to instigate the formulation of UMF specifications to address such requirements. Ultimately, where appropriate, for such specifications and/or guidance notes to be adopted by relevant bodies (ISO, API, etc)
